You are not defined by your worst moments, your productivity, or the names others have called you. In Ephesians 2:10, the Apostle Paul uses the Greek word poema, the root of our English word poem, to describe what God has made us to be. We are not mass-produced objects but living poetry, filled with mystery, beauty, and purpose. God is rich in mercy and lavish in grace, and He is not done creating in us and through us. Salvation is not something we earn through good behavior but a gift freely given, grounding our identity in something that cannot be taken away. We are also not a poem written in isolation. Paul says we are God's masterpiece together, a chorus of different voices, stories, and gifts forming something far greater than any one life alone. The poet is still writing, and the best lines may still be ahead.
