Praying for Another World
Prayer is not about saying the right words perfectly. It is about connecting with a God of love who meets us exactly where we are. When Jesus taught His followers to pray 'Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven,' He was inviting ordinary people into an extraordinary awareness of God's presence already at work in the world. The kingdom of God is not far off or somewhere else. It is here, pressing into the world and emerging in the smallest, most ordinary moments of our lives. Every act of kindness, every meal shared, every moment of forgiveness is a glimpse of heaven touching earth. We participate in God's kingdom not through grand gestures, but through small, consistent acts of love and welcome. God is already present, and we are invited to slow down long enough to notice.
