What if the church has been running an audition and calling it a welcome? In Mark 10, Jesus does not just permit children to stay at the edge of the crowd. He places them at the center and tells His disciples they have completely misunderstood the kingdom of God. Belonging comes before achievement. Love comes before usefulness. The way we treat people who can do nothing for us reveals what we actually believe about God. Is there someone in your life who is technically present but not truly known? That might be exactly where grace is asking you to show up.
